News:::
  February, 2004

Over the next couple weeks the blackbelts will be intensively going over material for our Review with Ed Martin Sensei on February 20th.
It is important for the senior belts who are not testing to take this opportunity to help out teaching and exploring ideas in the curriculum.

Rich Hammerquist has begun training with us recently. Rich is an old student of the old Illinois Martial Arts academy. Let's make him feel welcome.
over the next couple weeks we will decide where he will start in the curriculum.

Laura found some knee saving Matts for the dojo... at a Great price!
Of course they will not accommodate the 'Big throw'... however, it's much more forgiving than carpet on cement. Let her know what you think.

What's New?

A senior belt will be tasked to teach a lesson during selected classes.
This is a great way for juniors to get a different perspective on this art and an important learning tool for the instructor to break down their ideas and look deeper into their own technique.

T-Shirts:
Unfortunately, the last batch of shirts are Sub-Par. the ink seems to be
disintegrating in the wash... Keep this in mind (caution) and return the shirts for an eventual replacement.

Testing and Promotions:
Chuck and had did a great white belt demo on 11 January 04.

On February 21 (Saturday) Mr. Ed Martin will be visiting Earthway Dojo for a seminar. Shori Shodans are to attend that Friday for the opportunity of confirming your rank in Mr. Martin's presence.
